Chatham University is home to more than 2,200 students and 370 full-time employees. With those employees comes the responsibility to provide comprehensive and affordable health care benefits, which is how Chatham and First Commonwealth have most recently joined forces.

Michael and his team at First Commonwealth Insurance Agency provided a comprehensive analysis of our existing health care plan and projections of what our plan could look like,” said Frank Greco, Assistant Vice President of Human Resources. “This was the insight we needed to make the right decision about insuring our employees.

By moving to a self-funded benefits model, Frank and his team have provided enhanced benefits options at the same cost to employees for the past three years. According to employee feedback surveys, employees are confident in their plan and are taking advantage of resources like their wellness initiative.

Our approach to benefits is a key tool for attracting and retaining good talent. We want employees to come here, stay here and retire from here. First Commonwealth is part of that team.
